Best WLM Reviews
Yikes. I hate leaving negative reviews but there is no choice here. I am leaving this review to protect another potential customer from becoming extremely ill. I entered and it was a drab environment and I was the only customer. I visited yesterday at 4 pm. Upon arrival I was brought a water with a lemon (which was molded). I said ok I just won't drink the water. Well I ordered the vegetarian combo. It was delicious. I left and woke up today and am violently ill. Throwing up the entire day unable to leave my house. I called the restaurant and informed them so they can rectify the situation and stop it from happening to someone else. Their response was "I'm sorry this happened it's never happened before". I haven't ever been so ill from food poisoning in years. And no I didn't eat anything else yesterday this IS the culprit. No question.
My first time trying this restaurant! Amazing food. Big portions, super fast cooking. Very friendly and attentive staff. So delicious. If you're looking for true African cuisine start here.
This was our 1st Ethiopian food experience and it was excellent. We got the meat combination and the vegetable combination which gives you a bit of everything. Served with injera (flat bread) you eat with your hands and scoop up the food served family style with the bread. Very flavorful but not spicy. We also got the coffee ceremony at the end. Staff and patrons where very friendly. We will come back for your next Ethiopian fix.
Just when I thought Queen of Sheba was the only good Ethiopian in Denver. The sambusa was the best I’ve ever had. Large and spacey interior makes it great for large groups too. Will be back!
This restaurant has awesome food & great service. Today is one of many time I have been dine in @ this restaurant. Well recommended.
The food is absolutely delicious and the cook did provide a 5 star worthy experience. I would love to give the 5 stars but the host/server was not so great. She brought over water quickly but seemed to have no interest in talking to us or taking our food order. The cook happened to walk out and notice the our table and another had been waiting a long time already and took our orders, otherwise I’m not sure how long we would have waited. She did however help out the group of gentlemen that walked up to the bar immediately and enthusiastically. I suspect the lack of service may be language barrier related, but you can also tell when the person supposed to be helping you would rather be elsewhere. Overall, not the greatest service experience but the food was great.
First time having Ethiopian food and we loved it, both the food and the experience. Ordered the veggie platter and the Awaze tibs which are shown in the picture. The meat was lamb but the taste wasn’t very strong… it reminded me to a bistec ranchero. The level of spicy was just how I like it. No cutlery and no individual plates, which was fun. I’d suggest you make sure if the prices of what you want are updated, because not all them are.
Server was nice and attentive, and even invited us some coffee on the house, which was the cherry on top. Would recommend!
Tasty Ethiopian food... We enjoyed a couple of veggie sambusas and meat combo platter for two. Generous portions, reasonably priced, and friendly service.
The chicken is always our favourite, the beef was nice and spicy, but found the lamb a little chewy, with plenty of Injera for eating everything with.
The food takes a while (30+ mins) to come once ordered, but this is consistent with other Ethiopian restraunts and good food is worth the wait!
