I absolutely Love coming to get my hair done by Ms. Mina and her Sisters..... As soon as you walk in, you feel like family. From the ladies waiting and the ladies working.... It's always laughs and happiness. I don't mind waiting or sitting in the hair chair. Thank You Ms. Mina and Her Sisters for hooking me up ????
I came in to get knotless braids. I was told that I had to wait because they had to call for help.
So I waited.
The other person came.
I sat in the chair and they began working on my head.
Keep in mind one of the ladies tried to give a quick lesson on how to do the knotless braids, and still with that mini lesson the lady tried to give me box braids.
Before they got far I ask if they could take out the braids because they weren’t what I asked for. They assured me that it was. So I let them continue for A few more braids. It still felt wrong so I just told them to take it all out and then I left.
I have never been to a braiding shop and they not know how to braid.
Bad experience.
This was hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life at a braiding shop!! It took 9 hours and there were 3 people on my head and I have a small head. The sizes are uneven and some of my twists are knots even though I asked for knotless. The workers are inexperienced and one girl was going slow as hell!! Do not go here!!
When i walked in ,it was only 3 lady's doing hair. It was quiet and nice inside. No staring or judging. Ms. Mina was very nice and honest. She said my hair was short and I should get box braids. Her and another lady was doing box braids and they looked professional. The other lady was doing conrows. All the woman hair were dealt with patience and neatness. I received cornrolls braids ponytail and they were tight tight and neat. They could see i was in pain when she added hair to my front edges ,after 4 braids in she told the lady to start with my hair which felt so much better , so the side of my hair that started off with no weave , I still have my edges.
She told me while I was getting my hair braided how people come in and are picky or complain and she blocked them.
My hairstyle was a $140 !!
But i needed it done asap.
I expected the pain to go away after a week but it lasted for 4weeks with boils and pus coming out of my scalp and my hair breaking and very damaged , turning black. I have great healthy hair , I am natural and rarely put weave in my hair.
Any positive criticism or negative, she will block you and thats what she did to me after reaching out about the pain and the outcome . I was asking could they do another style or can I get box braids while also making a complaint on my scalp.
She blamed me and said my scalp was fragile and hair was too short. Along time ago my hair used to be shorter and damaged and a American woman braided just fine without the problems with a reasonable price ???? sadly she moved away.
Here are the pictures below and the out come . Im missing just a few pieces of my hair but I should have waited.
I was cute and the braids were fresh but blocking because she thinks EVERYONE is drama is negative. She said she was happy with her original customers anyways. If your going to get your hair braided by her and her staff ,just know to shut up , say few words , dont complain or be picky , don't be tender headed and Pay up.
Mina was so professional and the service was fast and great ! I received 2 big braids and was in and out !! Try this place you won’t be disappointed!! I was pleasantly surprised !!
They are so professional, quick. They braid so gently i love to go back❤️❤️❤️ to Mina hair braiding
This is the wrong review for the wrong person...... these ladies deserve the right one so go see them @African Hair Braiding on 1960 and keykundhal across from the Mcdonalds. I received an early appointment, they washed and braided my daughter's hair.... no gimmick, no games 3 hours we were finished and yes I will be back.... thank you nothing negative to say over here
I had a great experience. They took their time with me and actually gave me more than I expected because I have alopecia and a lot of braid shops told me they couldn’t do what I wanted. I’m very satisfied and I will definitely be bk
