Fatime was so kind. Arranged my appointment as soon as possible. At my appointment she was great company, really good to talk to. I had a book and laptop for entertainment, but didn’t need/want them.
My hair is very short. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get it braided at all, but Fatime made it happen! I really love my hair, and I’ll definitely be coming back. The whole experience was so worth it. Give African Beauty Hair Braiding a chance, I don’t think you’ll regret it. Great product, and customer service, in my opinion. :)

I recently visited African Beauty Hair Braiding to get Medium Knotless braids done and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the staff was friendly, the stylist who worked on my hair, Fatima, lacked the necessary skills for braiding.
I came in expecting a skilled stylist who could handle knotless braids with expertise, but that was not the case. The size of the braids were uneven, and she braided them nonchalantly and loosely. Essential steps such as trimming the braids and dipping them in hot water were completely skipped. Fatima is a nice lady, but she clearly needs more training in braiding techniques.
I paid $220 for a hairstyle that turned out to be useless. When Fatima finished the braids, I trusted that she had completed all necessary steps, especially since the mirrors were not close to the styling area and I have poor night vision. It wasn't until I got home that I realized how poorly the braids were done. My natural hair was sticking out due to the braids not being tight enough.
I wouldn't recommend this salon if you're looking to get knotless braids done. My experience was far from satisfactory, and I feel like I wasted my money.
This was the worst experience ever, one of the workers immediately said “I can’t do her hair” when I walked in with my daughter. It was the rudest thing I’ve ever heard a stylist say. She called the owner and lied saying that she had an emergency with her son. I would not recommend them EVER. There are a lot of African ladies in Oklahoma City that do great and have great service to have to be in a shop with bad service.
I love this shop. They’re the only braiding salon I will use in OKC. I have a crazy schedule and the owner will always try and accommodate my schedule. The shop is always clean and the Braiders are always on time. I don’t see myself ever going anywhere else. They’re like family now! My hair stay on point! ????????????????????????????
The best shop in town thanks Fatima, I will be bringing my daughter back! I PRAY you open a braiding school/mentor school!!!!!
I’ve been going to Fatime for over a year now and she delivers every time!!!
She makes sure to communicate very well with words (the specifics) and pictures, so we’re all on the same page way before the appointment date. There’ve been times I was trying to do a hairstyle and couldn’t find the hair I needed. She’d go out of her way to get it for me without complaining. She’s the most punctual hairstylist you’ll ever meet, even when you need your hair done at 5am lol.
Most of all, her hands are blessed!! When I first went to her my hair was about 1.5 inches, and just starting out (most stylist wouldn’t braid it but she DID!!!) And now, we’re grown grown!! ????????
I would not recommend going here if you would like to keep your edges and don't want sores in your head. I asked for medium braids and got small (for medium price).They were entirely too tight and she was very slow, 9 hours for so called medium braids. I don't know about Fatima but DO NOT go to Mariam....IF you want your hair and a healthy scalp. Would give Zero stars if possible! ????
