The food is flavorful and delicious. There is one man cooking all the food and everything is fresh when I order. I get the Efu fu fu fish and beef jollof rice plantains. Went a couple days ago and it's better than ever!!!!
I have been ordering from this for 3 years. This spot is the absolute best and I've tried over 13 locations in Chicago and a few suburbs. I only gave the service 3 stars because the mom can be a little rude often. The son which is the cook and his son who takes the orders are very respectful. I had a few missing items a couple of times other than that THE BEST HANDS DOWN!!!
Believe the reviews. I understand you can’t please everyone, so I tried this place despite the reviews anyway. Unfortunately, the portion size is indeed terrible, way too spicy, and the meat was incredibly tough. Do not waste your money and taste buds.
I’ve been ordering and eating at Abundant Restaurant since they opened at their old location over the years. Respectful,, great customer service, clean environment, economical, and delicious food. Highly recommended to not only Africans but anyone.
The food is really good. The only reason why I’m giving this place 3 stars is because of their service. The wait is horrible, I waited 2hours for 2 soups and plantain. I really hope they get some help managing this place. This place could be so much better if the waiting was a lot less. Also they don’t answer the phone when you call them.
Ordered goat meat but what I got was 3 pieces of turkey bone. Egusi and Okra had no seasoning, just bland. Africans are better than this, we can do better.
I ordered the Fufu and egusi with Fish. SO FREAKING GOOD N DELICIOUS. TASTE FRESH AND IT WAS HOT. I WAITED LIKE 10-15 MINUTES FOR MY FOOD NOT LONG AT ALL. I ENJOYED EVERYTHING ABOUT. I LOVE THE SPICE. THE FLAVOR WAS OUTSTANDING. FRIENDLY STAFF AND HELPFUL.
The is not the same recipe like it use to be, the taste is more sweeter which I do not like they have definitely changed the recipe and I am completely done going to this place from this point on the food is completely disgusting now I think it’s new owners, Plus the quality size of the food is way more less then Before. I use to love this place so much I ate here at lease twice a week but it’s not the same
