ABS camping repair

I wish I had seen these reviews prior to using them. They came out to take a look at our camper that was not cooling properly. Initially they recommended we replace our Thermostat, which ran us $265 for less than 1 hour of labor. When that didn't solve any issues they gave us the option to add a bigger AC unit or have them put their silicone coating on. When we asked which one would be more beneficial they couldn't say one way or the other but REALLY pitched us on this $900 coating saying it would DEFINITELY cool our camper at least 30 degrees from the outside temp. They swore they had never seen this product not perform, we were skeptical but ultimately made the decision to move forward since we were DESPERATE for some cooler temps inside. They came out, did the coating and left. When we arrived to the camper to check it out there was white silicone coating dripping down the side of the camper in 4 places and the roof liner had been ripped where he laid his ladder to get on the roof. We called them back again, they returned to complete the cleanup and half@** fix the rip. Fast forward 3 weeks later it's still upper 80's in our camper and we reach out AGAIN. This time, Brittany, the owners wife gives us attitude saying "we told you to upgrade you AC". This could not possibly be further from the truth, which we even had in writing via text! They swore up and down about this silicone coating saying it would 100% work for us. Long story short we are $1200 in the hole and they have made it crystal clear they have no intent whatsoever in making anything right. Brittany did offer to upgrade out AC unit, at no discount for their failed attempts, to which we most definitely declined. All to say, terrible service - total scam of a company!

I ABSOLUTELY would NOT give them a star if they paid me to!

They sent a guy out to my camper because I had no power and the guy never tested the battery or ANYTHING ELSE he should have done. He cut my BRAND NEW fresh out of Lowe's hardware, twisted wires together and put an open face box on it. Was here for little over 1hr and charged for 3 with nothing accomplished. He told us when he got here we have power when he left. Tried to say duke power wiring was wrong n electrician wiring was wrong. Needless to say we didn't have power. I STRONGLY URGE YOU NOT TO CONTACT THIS COMPANY

The guys at ABS have been paid in full to complete a couple of job at mine and my mother in laws camper. They got paid for the whole job each time. But after going behind and inspection of their work we realized they only did about half of what they said they would do and got paid for it. Shame on me for not watching them like a hawk and for trusting them to do the right thing. Would not reccomend their services to my worst enemy. Nobody likes to get ripped off.

Update 6/2/21 :

So after a long drawn out text war between Brandon and myself, I was told one of the other owners would be reaching out to me in hopes of resolving the issues. I can't say enough good things about Pete and Andrew who were not afraid to come out and meet face to face to figure out what was going on with this job. Pete looked at all of my concerns and told me he would be back in the morning to fix everything. Pete and Andrew showed up early and worked very hard to resolve all the issues left by the other tech that had worked on my camper, as well as my mother in laws camper. Pete was very understanding and went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied. It took a bit for me to actually get someone out there, but once Pete showed up everything got done right. If I were to use this service in the future I would ask for Pete and Andrew specifically. Thank you guys. You earned the 2 extra stars today!

****DO NOT USE THIS RV REPAIR SHOP***

I can’t not reiterate enough that no one has ever treated us as badly as they did! We took out RV Camper in for engine tune up, over haul, with instructions to change all belts, hoses, do a complete engine check and tune up. We also needed some structure repair and leak fixes. We gave implicit instructions to NOT do cosmetic fixes if the engine was not in working order.

When we picked up the RV, we were told by Brandon that “you could drive this thing to California “. We trusted that and set out… we made it 16 miles ! 16 and the engine overheated and was inoperable. The ABS took ZERO responsibility for this. They did come road side where we were stranded 16 miles from the HOUSE (not an enclosed work shop that we were told ) where we picked it up, to tell us the hoses were bad and this is why it over heated !!

They would not even pay for tow!!! This is unbelievable poor service. We paid 5,000$ for an inoperable RV that sits in a driveway. This ABS RV repair shop should not be allowed to operate.

ABS Camping Repair did an excellent job repairing my pop-up camper. They fixed what I asked and taught me things about my camper that I did not know. Work was completed sooner than promised, and work was great quality. These guys really know what they are doing and appear to enjoy doing it. Communication was thorough and timely. I am very happy with ABS Camping Repair! I recommend them!

Warning ⚠️ My first contact was a good one but I soon realized it was a con job.My hot water heater melted a wire and we could smell it in the cabin. They promptly came out and I thought that all is well. Long story short $570 later heater is still broken, Brandon is nonexistent not answering phone or text messages. They have since changed their name to Expo rv and roofing. I gave them every opportunity to redeem himself for three months but he was always full of excuses for not coming back. Being the owner of a small company once I understand how hard it can be at times but with the invention of the cell phone there's no excuse to hide from issues! It's almost Christmas and still nothing from these guys. It has been a month since the last response so heed the warnings ⚠️ BTW .. I had another company come out and they were not impressed with the lack of work.

Be careful with these guys. They tell you one thing and do another. Waited 3 days, still no call after they showed up on Saturday 11/6/21 to diagnosed the problem. They collected the money and said they would order the sink we needed and install on there hourly rate without charging another trip fee. Scheduled on Sunday or Monday 11/8, all good. They never showed up, no call. Now they will not return calls and/or texts. I had to hire another company. They got 1 stars from me only because they should up promptly on the first call, after that, silence.

These are total rip off artists!! Do NOT let them near your RV…

The technician didn’t even wash the roof before he resealed it…

He asked for payment for the fans & vents & a new skylight….

That is all 3 months ago & after paying them $1800…I can’t get him to answer our calls….

LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE…. DO NOT LET THESE GUYS NEAR YOUR MOTORHOME…..
