When I (at age 58) decided to get a tattoo I thought this was the place! When I decided I wanted something very special, something unique, I thought this was the place. I was, however, dreading going in because you always think of tattoo "parlors" as kinda seedy, kinda dirty, kinda trashy.
Well.... upon entering Above Alpha Tattoo I was very pleasantly surprised! Very nice, very clean, very comfortable, very stylish. Then I met with Joe... my tattoo artist, and he also happens to be the owner...
Remember that I "thought" this was the place to go? Well now I "knew" it was the place to go. My experience was overall EXCEPTIONAL! Joe took my quite unique idea and he made it happen 100%! Of course I was a little (okay, a lot) nervous and he not only put me very much at ease... but he also talked me through everything. Pain? Very little, very very little (it IS a tattoo after all). My tattoo was perfect, the intended audience received it incredibly well, and it looks awesome! I'm very happy with it.
Thank you, Joe and Above Alpha... if I decide to get a other tattoo... I now "KNOW" exactly where to go!
Above Alpha is my go-to place for tattoos in Tampa Bay. Recently, I saw Eden for two tattoos, and they’re really talented. Very clean place, and I highly recommend booking here.
I recommend above alpha to all my friends & everyone who compliments my tattoos! I have been going here for years and never once have had a bad experience or have been disappointed. The owners, Joe & Elicia, are great people & really know how to take care of their clients. Joe is a phenomenal tattoo artist. He has done multiple pieces on my friends & I. I am currently in the middle of my largest piece that i have ever gotten & I gave Joe full range on coming up with the design and he blew me away. Finding a tattoo artist you trust to ink you (that is there for life!) is not easy. You will not regret hitting up Above Alpha.

I've had Joe do several tats, years ago. This visit had significance and I trusted Joe to do it. I was very pleased with the end result. BTW I traveled from PA to have this done. Above Alpha is a terrific shop. They really put the customer first. Profesional, spotlessly clean, and attentive to the customers requests. Thank you

Eden did these two beautiful koroks for me and I'm absolutely obsessed with how they turned out!! Eden is talented, professional, fun to talk to, and I thoroughly enjoyed working with them.
