Although this place is often understaffed I feel they do a very good job of trying to please their customers. I enjoy the food here and any of the staff I've interacted with has always been polite courteous and often goes out of their way to accommodate you in the event of an extended wait. In our current times fast food locations are almost always understaffed so I tend to be more patient perhaps however on multiple occasions they've accommodated that in various ways and I am grateful for it. Love the cheese curds! Love the root beer floats! Love the twist cones with the root beer in them! And love the fish sandwiches
Had a good experience there tonight. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. And I got a large root beer that was HUGE! For a measly $3.19 you get a root beer the size of a horse trough.
Worse experience I have had here. Took me over 30 minutes from the time I pulled up to the drive thru line till I got my food. 8 minutes from the time I paid for the food until I received my food. Saw 3 people pull out of line after they ordered and at least 3 pull out of line before they could order. One of the only reasons I stayed was my family loves your root beer and I was taking some home. Maybe a free drink coupon might smooth things over when things aren't going well.
We have been going to this A&W for almost a month now at least 5 times a week to get a cup of ice water and a meal since my other half is pregnant and enjoys the ice there, but today the lady charged us for a bottle of water saying corporate has changed the policy and is penny pinching everything. I didn’t receive a bottle water and refused to give us a bottle they charged us for. I understand being charged for a cup of water, but not for a bottle and never receiving it. I am disappointed and unfortunately I am going to have to take my business elsewhere. Good luck to the policy change.
The person was not very friendly. We got 2 root beer floats, and it had hardly any ice cream. A little clump at the bottom of the glass. Certainly not worth the money we paid. On the bright side, their root beer is still awesome!
Upgraded one meal to cheese curds, but they didn't give me any curds or fries. Unfortunately, I didn't notice until I got home...15 minutes away. The drive thru wasn't busy, but it took a very long time to get our food. Strange looking red things in the cookie dough ice cream. Two meals and a TINY ice cream was $30... Huge waste of money.
Every time I go to this location they mess up the order. Today the chick didn't have part of the order & completely ignored me when I told her. Employees name is Chandrick that was extremely rude!
Drive thru wasn’t busy- there was one car ahead of us. Yet somehow they entirely forgot an order of chili cheese fries and there was 1 piece of fish on my fish sandwich that didn’t cover even half the bun. I believe the owners need to seriously reconsider this location if they want to stay in business. The kitchen is tiny and everyone is right on top of each other, they don’t seem to have the space or equipment to work efficiently, and to be honest, it looks filthy. Eating inside is barely an option because of the small cramped space. Not sure why small towns have a full restaurant area, with seating for over 25, and a full kitchen, but this busy Appleton restaurant has seating for about 15 and no work space.
