A great little place to stop, especially for breakfast!
We had breakfast on a Friday morning in July.
Food:
We ordered pancakes, biscuits & gravy, hash browns, bacon, eggs, and the western omelette. Everything was delicious. I usually like my bacon crispy, but this was so good!
Service:
Our server was friendly and attentive. We did have to wait a little long to pay, but overall everyone was very kind.
Atmosphere:
It was not crowded and the place is very inviting with cute little decor everywhere.
The bathrooms are singles (one male and one female). They were gross but felt outdated and slightly neglected. This is the only reason for a three star in atmosphere instead of a five.
This is a true down home country kitchen experience. If you are looking for authentic country cooking and the family dinner atmosphere. This is the little local restaurant for you. The staff reminded me of my Auntie and her helper Baby girl was just as precious. The breakfast was excellent. The eggs were cooked to perfect. The breakfast sausage tasted fresh and well seasoned. I would love to come back again and try the BBQ for lunch another time. I think this is the restaurant we wish we could visit when we travel in Kentucky.
When I walked in it was fairly empty. The tables sat seemed to be finishing up. It took about 10 minutes for someone to give us menus. Then another 15 min to come back and take our orders. By this time the restaurant was filling up quickly. I watched a few tabels come in after us and get drinks before us. I saw the server look at us with a look of "yeah, that table needs drinks" then came out with drinks about 15 min after taking our order. We then watched nearly all the tables get food before us even one who came in about 30 minutes after us. We finally got the food. The eggs were okay, the country gravey tasted like flour. My child's chicken tenders tasted and looked like frozen Walmart tenders cooked in a microwave. We spent nearly 1.5 hours here mostly waiting to be served and get food..food wasent very good.
I got eggs, Hasbrowns, country gravy w/ biscuit & sausage. My kid got chicken fingers and fries. Cost over $20
The food was on point; very flavorful and nice portions sizes. The waitress was very friendly, and earned her tip today. The ladies room was empirically clean. I was throughly impressed. My meal was so good I forgot to take a picture of it but I'm sharing my friends meals. People you will leave throughly satisfied.
Great place to have a meal. Very welcoming. The menu had good variety. Would recommend if in the area to stop in.
I was fortunate enough to stumble upon this gem on Catfish "Fry"day. Man was I in for a treat! It was all you can eat but they brought the first plate with 4 filets that were 2 inches thick and the size of a pie plate each. Amazing! Sides were cole slaw, white beans, fries, hush puppies, and greens! I'm telling you this was dit for a king. Great service too! Highly recommend and will be back 100%!! Well done!!!
Great food and service! I took a few orders to-go and everything was AMAZING.
One of the employees was walking into the bathroom area and my daughter was on the other side trying to open the door and this employee pushed to door opened roughly and hit my daughter in the face making her mouth bleed and a knot above her eye also pushing her tooth backwards. I told the employee that she caused my daughter to bleed and she hurt her and the employee said “oh well it was your fault your daughter was in the way” and then proceeded to curse. And when my mother said she should not use that language she proceeded to tell my mother she was grown and could do what she wanted needless to say this situation escalated just a little bit. So in my opinion the employees don’t care about the customers who give the business money to pay their paycheck!
