I'd not been sure of this salon but gave it a go one day cause there was no wait. I absolutely love Rose & all the employees, they're very friendly. My nails turned out great & natural looking. Going back today!!
Horrible shop. I requested a $40 basic pedicure with no polish. Upon arrival I had gel polish on my toes. Instead of the nail technician properly removing my gel polish she drilled my toes until it hurt. Once she stopped and I look at them they were red and thin. I kindly explained she had drilled my toes excessively and I would like for her to only file them and not use the drill anymore. Once it was time to pay they attempted to charge $45 for the removal. I explained the situation to the owner and said I would only pay for the pedicure not the removal because my toes were damaged and I shouldn’t have to pay at all. After paying $40 the owner told me to leave and not to come back. I wouldn’t go back or recommend them to anyone I know.
My wife has been working very hard and on her feet all day for weeks. She finished at the salon early enough for me to surprise her and take her for a pedicure before they closed. The technician was very polite, thoughtful, and thorough from start to finish. Definitely made my wife feel like a million bucks walking out the door.
I got my nails done here less than one week ago. When I went in I asked for a almond shape, mid length, and lavender tip. As you can see this is nothing close to what I asked for…. She said she can’t do that with dip powder.. and said she would give me a nice shape because it would “fit my hands better”. I got square. Initially I was like okay whatever, I havnt had my nails done in a long time so anything’s better than what I had before right.. she said $45 for my nails. With design would be a little more… I assumed 2-3 dollars more. She asked if I wanted a pedi I said sure. I asked how much, she said she it would be around $43. With gel an extra $5. That would be $48 plus another about $48 right… wrong I ended up paying $118 by time it was over! I was frustrated enough by that. Here we are not even a week later and I am down to 4 nails left. As you can see my nails done look bad underneath and that’s because I DIDNT do anything to cause then to come off. I got them short to prevent breakage prematurely and still get this…
I called them to tell them and all she said was come in so they can replace my missing nails.. not even an hour later another popped off so I said screw it I might as well let them all come off and go somewhere else because the rest will likely come off anyway.
Oh and I forgot to mention my thumb nail is crooked, and my pointer finger nail is longer than my others were….
I used to go here some a few years back but will never return to this place. Their over priced and they don’t even do a good job. Don’t waste your $$$ go spend it with someone who will take their time and do them right
Exactly like the picture I showed the nail tech. Thank you, Emma!
I have been to 6 or 7 different places from SML to Roanoke and this is the only play to have 1) dealt *politely* with my pickiness 2) make my nails last more than a week and 3) get me in and out in no time. I came by after moving and my real nails were tragic (due to a former nail salon's poor job having them pop off mid move).. the sweet older guy fixed me right up with a full set of acrylic and gel polish. Not only that, he did them thin, straight, and in 5 different colors (one on each nail - see pic). Now, it was pricey.. $60 with tip but I did ask for the moon and started with a whole set. I plan to go tomorrow for a fill in so we will see if that price comes down a bit. Regardless.. I got a full 2.5 weeks with not a nail chipping, cracking, or popping off. They have my business!!!
I will not be returning, the customer service and communication was rude, I ask the lady for regular white polish and she told me they didn't have it and I had to get gel. When we had to pay it was $15 more than the normal price. Now mind you I told her 3 times I didn't want gel color, first and last time
I left more stressed when I left than when I went in. I couldn’t relax because the nail technician would not acknowledge me speaking to her or make eye contact with me. I politely had the manager (I think) to translate to her what I wanted ext. It was simple stuff like I wanted my nails cut down and what type of pedicure I wanted. Despite this, she didn’t cut down my nails and several fingernails had gel polish on them that was smeared. When I asked for it to be fixed, again politely there was a communication barrier and so I left with what I had. There were 3 technicians sleeping in chairs and 2 tv’s playing. Each with different shows, along with two nail technicians, one on each side of me listening to their own tv shows in on their phone. To say that it was sensory overload is an understatement. I would not recommend and feel bad for the lady who couldn’t even make eye contact with me and hope she is okay.
