It might not be an overstatement to say that this place is the best auto repair store in Minnesota. I had to change my brakes, fix my A/C, had leaks, needed weatherproofing as well but the service here much exceeded my expectations and was very well under budget. I highly recommend getting anything for your fixed here , they give the best rates and the fastest service as well.

Tam is a down to earth, fair minded and most of all seasoned mechanic. He goes above and beyond to help multitude of folks who might not make @ Slick Willie's shop who charge just for visiting with questions. I frequent his shop to learn, help and understand complex car issues.
I've known Tam Long for 6 years now sense I was 17 years old. Hes a really friendly and hard working man. I bought my first car from him in almost perfect running condition. I've always been able to rely on Tam for timely and quality service.
He is by far the cheapest and most honest deal around when it comes auto repair. Compared to any other shop in the mankato area going anywhere else but A & T Auto for your basic simple repairs is where you "went wrong." Almost all the other shops in the area are the biggest legitimate scams you could possibly encounter. Don't judge a book by its cover! I've been to almost every shop in the Mankato area. It is a fact that I've been scammed and manipulated by every single shop in the area except A & T Auto.
Everytime I go somewhere else besides Tam L. for auto repair the work usually doesn't get done at all what's soo ever "cough cough, TGK Automotive," and I end of paying for brand new parts that aren't even attached to my vehicle.
I recommend going to Tam Long over all these places listed. Especially avoid these places.

Horrible unsafe entry and parking lot, potholes and uneven pavement to trip on. If cities/other businesses have to legally take up perfectly good sidewalk to meet Americans with disability standards, how can this place be how it is.
Unprofessional over the phone. After calling for a quote, before even giving me a number or seeing the car, they tried to sell me on a much more expensive repair. Would not trust or work with this shop.
Tam is an excellent, honest, hard working mechanic. He fixed my leaking problem quickly and is very friendly. The price is very fair and affordable. I recommend anyone needing a mechanic go visit him. I've found my mechanic.
He fixed everything that was wrong with my car and even came under budget very happy
This is on a Saturday at 1pm. The owner was very friendly. I was in a pinch and he took me in right away without an appointment. I told him that my car was overheating and he came took a look at it. I opened the hood, and was so scared my engine was already ruined. All the lights in my car were on (engine, coolant, battery…) He noticed that I had no coolant (or very little left). He had to release the pressure from the coolant valve. He told me to keep unscrewing and putting the cap back on, but not take it off all the way or it might burn me. He had to work anoth car in the mean time. Another person was getting an oil change. I would have to wait anyway until my car cooled down enough to do anything with it. It got cooled down enough that he put more coolant in and said start the car. I get in my car, and he notices something else in my car. So he says “Wait!” Turns out my belt broke. So I asked if he had an extra belt, he said yes, but that he would have to order it. The delivery came about 20-30 minutes later. He took my car apart and had it on there in no time. I have to say, it was excellent service and I would definitely recommend this place in the future. Thank you so very much for saving my car!!! I really do appreciate it. Also the pricing is very reasonable. 2 Thumbs up!!!
