I have been coming to Erica for years. 23 to be exact. Throughout the years I have been relaxed then natural getting presses and now locs. She has also consistently done my children’s hair as well. Erica not only knows styles but she truly knows hair care. I always leave happy, satisfied, and fine! I am so thankful for her expertise and the way my hair grows under her touch. My locs are growing and very healthy. Erica doesn't retehst too tight so my hair is not slipping or thinking out. My hair been loc over a year.

Owner was nice. Silk press was stringy. She uses extreme heat when flat ironing. Hair smelled burnt. I've been going to this shop for a year. Every 6-8 weeks for a silk press and trim. There was no growth in a year!

Update 6-3-2023:

Me and my daughters hair have grown three inches since our last visit in January 2023. Erica please clean your flat irons and turn the temp down so you won't burn another client's hair. Blessings.

Update 5/3/24: My hair and my daughters hair is still growing thick and healthy. We found an excellent beautician that knows what she is doing. She has shown me just because you have a license, it doesn't mean you know hair. I am thankful for this lady. She has corrected our damaged hair

Another exceptional and satisfied visit and on top of that my hair is shining, flowing and glowing down my back; and so bouncy and light. I’m up here cheezing and smiling like VP Kamala Harris after she gets a fresh silk press ????. There is no better feeling for a woman than leaving the salon with a fresh do. I feel like i’m ready to walk down a runway; and ready to go somewhere just to be seen. I have been getting my hair treated, cared for, styled, revived, laid and slayed by A New You beauty for over 10 yrs. My daughter and my mother (3 generations) also get their hair styled by the owner Erica at A New You beauty - whenever it’s time for my daughters regular hair care maintenance she is sure she reminds me to schedule her appt with Erica cause she really enjoys getting her scalped massaged and washed. Her hair continues to grown and shine and is so very healthy. People are constantly stopping us everywhere we go complimenting how beautiful her hair and my hair is. She is super tender headed and says her head never hurts when Erica styles it (but complains that i hurt her scalp when I comb it.). The stylist Erica is caring for 3 generations of hair and keeps our scalps and hair happy and healthy. Erica has had her own beauty salon business for over 13 yrs now, which made my mom feel very secure, confident and comfortable with letting Erica care for her hair. My mom was a bit reluctant to let someone style her hair but became completely at ease when she heard of the stylist Erica rapport with hair care, customers and long history and experience with styling hair. My mom was very comfortable and at ease when she saw how sanitary and clean the salon was. She also thought it was an added bonus that the decor was beautiful and that Erica offered beverages/snacks for purchase and free wifi. Grateful for A New You and keeping my hair happy and healthy for over 10 yrs and counting

Mrs. Tay and Mrs. Erica were beautiful and a blessing. I called Friday night and was able to get in Saturday morning (I was so grateful , because I knew it was short notice). The atmosphere was amazing and welcoming. I'm very grateful that Mrs. Erica has been holding it down 13 years and running. Not being a Belleville native it's been a struggle to find blessed hands and shop that is proud of what they do. I truly felt like a New Me, I will be back amd my daughter as well.

It was my daughter's first time getting her hair done at an actual salon. When we got there Erica was very professional, honest, and gave me alot of ideals and tips for my daughters type of hair. She actually was getting ready to go home for the day and decided she would squeeze my daughter in! We were very grateful and Kaleigha's school pictures looked wonderful! Will be returning very soon, and my daughter has also claimed Erica as her personal stylist! Loved our experience, and Erica is very sweet and we had alot of fun there with her!

I took my two girls to Erica with their hair really needing help. She exceeded my expectations and I couldn’t be happier. She was very polite and knowledgeable. Good for me she’s only 5 minutes away! The girls and I are excited for this growth journey with her????Next appointment already booked!
