The food was good considering the price. Slightly salty though, had to drink much water. Portions were good and the whole family was full by the end of it.
Service/Ambiance - Service was friendly and attentive. The food came up quickly and requests were fulfilled promptly. Depending on which table you sat at, it could be slightly cramped but it's manageable
Parking - Plenty of parking in the back. It was packed but they have a second floor lot so finding a spot wasn't bad.
Took over the location of稻香。interior decor remains the same. Not very attractive. Minimum bill to use a credit card is $20. Easily exceeded with the main dishes. Lunch dishes are cheaper than the equivalent dinner dishes by $1. Best deal is tea time from 3-5pm. You can get a good dish with a drink for under $20.
Our favorite Cantonese restaurant closed during the Pandemic. We have looked for a worthy replacement and A-Me Kitchen is the one! The food was authentic and delicious. We loved the fried rice, vietnamese shrimp, tofu with mushrooms and the sweet and sour pork. All were really great. The servers were efficient and nice. Well worth a drive to Alhambra. We will be back soon!
This newly opened HK style cafe occupied what used to be Tasty Garden Cafe on Valley near Garfield in Alhambra. There used to be Tasty Garden everywhere. Buy now with this last one closed, we have to say goodbye to the good foods of Tasty Garden.
This replacement seemed to provide solid HK style food. Today we stopped by for lunch after church. We got a few items and they all tasted delicious.
The Beef fried rice was the best among the dishes we ordered. The rices were fried in the right way and the flavors were good although the wok Hei is not quite detectable.
The two others dishes, Honey Ribs and Strings beans were above average with the ribs been overly tenderized with baking soda. The string beans was a bit salty.
The two drinks were very good. I love the icy red bean drink. I used to have that when I was a kid with my family eating out in Hong Kong.
Overall, this is another good alternative for HK style food in the San Gabriel Valley.
This place is a great find. They just opened up with a new owner and they specialize in Chinese dishes made HK style. It is fantastic food and priced right as our bill was only $34 before tip. I will go back for sure to try all the other dishes. We had the French fish fillet and the salted fish and chicken w/ eggplant pot.
Ordered Stir-fried Water Spinach with Chili in Fermented Bean Curd Sauce and hk style pork rib, they made the water spinach with ho taste, no fermented bean sauce at all. So disappointed.
Their clay pot rice is excellent because the brown bottom rice shows it was cooked individually each pot. The curry beef rice also great.
The staff is always nice whenever I come in for takeout or dine in - so thank you guys so much for your kind service. Food always tastes good and traditional to what you’d expect from a restaurant like this. Will keep coming back for more Orange Beef and other delicious entrees they have ????
