I cannot say enough good things about my experience at A K Meats - I was in town waiting for a redeye flight and they were the kindest people who made me a sandwich as they were closing. I cannot say thank you enough. The sandwich was AMAZING and so fresh, just what I needed while traveling and eating so much processed food for multiple days. When I am in town again - I will be back!
Absolutely amazing. This is the best hot pastrami sandwich I've had in my life. Amazing service with a little village feel.plus there is a little cute park down the street with tables to enjoy.

An awesome locally owned deli and meat counter. You can call ahead to order sandwiches. Service is friendly, helpful, and efficient. I love the hot pastrami sandwich (with the trio!) as well as the BLTA. There’s also usually a killer fruit salad, potato salad, and other by-weight items for sale. A few small tables outside are available for use.
Great deli with very friendly people behind the counter. The pastrami on sourdough was so tasty, as was the Italian on a hoagie roll. The sandwiches are big enough for two meals and fairly priced. This would be a great place to pick up a picnic lunch to take to the park. We will definitely be back!
Absolute gem of a place: not only were the sandwiches delicious down to the last bite, the lady on the counter was so friendly and easy to get on with. While we were waiting, a young man came in, and the two of them had a wholesome conversation where she encouraged him about his future job plans. I couldn't stop smiling - it was such a nice space to be in.
Stumbled upon this place one day while walking along clement looking for lunch and was not disappointed.
This a small butcher and deli run by A.L. the cutest lady ever who provides really fast, friendly and amazing service. This is definitely a well liked locals spot and you can tell by all of the people who come in to say hi to the owner and she seems to remember everyone that comes in. This is the kind of place I’m always looking for in the city. Friendly, no frills, amazing food and services. Makes you feel at home. This review is for the sandwich
Had the AK combo. Nothing crazy special about this sandwich but the ingredients are super fresh and the sandwich was made hot and delicious. Loved how much peppers she put on the sandwich for me.
This is a great find and will definitely be making this one of my usual neighborhood sandwich spots.
We loved our experience and their sandwiches are amazing. They are seriously some of the nicest people around. As with all small businesses, it’s always appreciated if you can help them avoid having to pay the ridiculous credit card fees by paying in cash. We did at AK and they appreciated it.
