Going since I was little, now I take my daughter. Lovely people, great stylists.
First time here and everyone was friendly. Got a great hair cut, A+++ service.
I moved to the area last year and tried a couple different stylists around NB and eventually went back to someone in IL. But that wasn’t a longtime solution. So I took someone’s reco and tried out “A Cut Above.” This was my first experience with Toni at “A Cut Above,” and I am hooked. She was fabulous. Toni nailed my cut and color on my very first visit. It looks amazing. And Toni is now my go-to moving forward. So thrilled to have someone wonderful 2 min from my home.
They squeezed me in, but they really "squeezed" me in. Originally gave a 3 stars, but seeing the shabbyness of the cut makes me give a 1. She didn't hear what color I wanted and when I saw the dried result I was a bit let down, and then she added curl gel before I could even see What she was adding to me hair. It wasn't a huge problem bc I could wash it out but it made my hair look greasy and it hid the very bad hair cut she gave. The woman asked if I wanted to tip in FRONT of the hair stylist. Def not coming here again, sorry.

Living in New Buffalo, you grow accustomed to having to drive a half hour in any direction to take care of most errands - since we don't really have a lot of the conveniences of larger towns. But it's nice to know you don't have to drive far for a nice, fresh haircut! I've only been to A Cut Above a couple times, but both times I walked away satisfied with the experience. The stylists and staff are all very warm and friendly, and they do good work (granted I'm a guy, so I'm not too hard to please haha). Stop in if you're in town. You won't be disappointed!
