Best WLM Reviews
Stop by to try this place and it ended up being pretty decent. From the looks of things it was really suspect but tasted pretty decent and acceptable. The hot pot was split in two with a pho broth on one side and the other a tum yum broth but more on the sweeter side. The options were ok, not much to choose from but not overwhelming. The end result is the pricing. It was cheap considering and the food was decent. Left full and content for under 50$ for two people. Not bad for an all you can eat place now a days.
Interesting place. Generally okay with the price. You get a little bit everything, but not so good. Again you always have to take the price into consideration. For now at least the food is safe to me, I didn't get diarrhea after eating. I actually like their traditional snacks.
Thank you to Bao/Steve for being super friendly and helpful for are first time here.
Loved the hotpot, loved the bbq, all the staff is friendly, the place is clean, staff also checks in to the table often to care for us. No complaints, can’t wait to come back.
This is a hot pot and bbq grill place that serves all you can buffet style lunch and dinner. Price is less than $30 per person. They have enough different dishes and ingredients for hot pot and grilling to keep it interesting. They have basic seafood selection and basic cut meats. Also their cooked dishes are good enough. Because it is a lower price buffet the quality of cuts of meat and seafood selection are the lower price grades.
The food was decent and I love the hot Vietnamese foods and the flavor are delicious. I've been here twice and they seem to never clean up this place. The restrooms are the dirtiest I've seen, like worst than a gas station. The floors are black greasy oily slippery, everything is oily and greasy Even the chairs and table and there's random packages of stuff in the dining area.
How could anyone say no to all you can eat grill and hotpot at $22 lunch? There's a few obstacles to my giving it five stars.
A lot of reviews dinged the service. I found it to be somewhat unfair. The lady has limited English and was never unpleasant. Yes she didn't come round every 60 seconds to ask if everything is okay, but we're expected to fetch our own food. We have no difficulty with her asking to add extra hotpot broth. My friend was more out going and started a pointing and body language to clarify which things go on grill and she spent two minutes pointing and body language explaining. So I think service is acceptable as long as you knew it's not Olive garden. My only criticism was that she has difficulty processing my friend's credit card and we ended up paying cash
Of the spread the meats and protein are of course mainly average quality or previously frozen. The vegetables are all fresh. But all are well kept at correct temperature. The spread has much bigger variety than I expected, including razor clams. This makes it fantastic value.
The sauces available has every permutations you can ask, and you can mix your own custom creations to your heart's content. The only omission I desire is sesame paste/tahini. The purist in me went for soy sauce and sesame oil with a dash of chilli.
The cooked food section looked great but turned out average to above average, not that different from the average Chinese buffet. The fried noodles and shrimp fried rice are okay. The highlight is the braised pork neck bone, which was excellent. Honorable mention the papaya salad.
My main beef was the heating power of the grill is too low. It took much longer to get colour except the thinnest cut. The hotpot induction plate was acceptable. It took about five minutes from when we are seated to come to a full boil. Meantime we sort ourselves out and get a bit of cooked food and there's no waiting. The deal is big hotpot small grill, not equal. I do appreciate the two compartment hotpot, one spicy/sour one clear broth for variety.
Overall very good value with many rare stuff and recommended. I'll return for the exotic experience and items not available elsewhere. It's enjoyable if expectations are adjusted.
Big varieties of vegetables and raw meat plus lots of seafood that you can cook in the hotpot set up at your table or to use on the grill.
Service was quick and efficient. Great value for your moneys. If there is a suggestion that I would make is to provide hand sanitizer. Other than that it’s a good experience.
We were in town for a Disney trip and was looking for a place to eat. After watching YouTuber Tim Lee trying this place, we gave it a shot. I'm all for AYCE. Dinner was $24.99 and you get the grill and hotpot. Nice selection of vegetables and raw meat/seafood to cook in the hotpot or marinated meats to use on the grill. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. They refill the stock only if you ask. We came at a pretty busy time so they didn't really take away our plates when it started piling up. Overall, the variety of selections were good and we enjoyed it.
