I had an acute inner ear infection, and knew I needed an antibiotic to clear it. I had after 10 days fighting it, only about 30% hearing out of both ears. Should be simple, right? A complete layup for a competent medical professional.
NOT HERE.
Not only did the blonde "nurse practitioner?", never look in my ears at all... She insisted on a Covid and Flu Test (without any symptoms)and that she would not prescribe anything. I told her to give me a copy of my Flu results, and that I was going to see an actual Doctor.
Long story short, my actual Dr. that I begged to squeeze me in-
1/2 hr later took a Flu test (at my request) IT WAS NEGATIVE!!!!!
They Lied about it at 910.
Not only that. but My Dr. said if he did not prescribe me Doxycycline that day, I would likely have had PERMANENT HEARING LOSS!!!!!!
If you are in the waiting room, RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You ccould end up in an ER a day or two later, or WORSE!!!
SEE pic for Flu results one taken 1 hr. apart to verify
Let me start off with the positives: The office is very clean and the staff are all very nice. Now the negatives…I was in the Sunday after Thanksgiving. As someone who works in a Dr.‘s office, I know the holidays make our jobs harder and I understand what the staff goes through. I went in for a common cold and sharp back pain. After the appointment was all said and done, I go to my pharmacy to get my scripts. The pharmacy tech told me they were sent to another pharmacy. I should have known then that something was up. I get home to open up the $25.00 worth of meds I paid for and I see that they sent me only 2/3 of my medications and they also sent me ALL of the medications that was for the patient in the room next to mine at 910 rapid care. They sent me her cough meds, an inhaler, and nausea medication. This is unacceptable. What if I had a more severe diagnosis and needed medication for it and never got it. And I am not sure that the other patient got her medications either. I tried calling 10 times to get the correct medications and to explain the problem, but no one answered and you can’t leave a voicemail which is also unacceptable.
Had I read these reviews, I would have gone elsewhere. 910 is rough around the edges and not very rapid. Every aspect of my experience seemed to take longer than necessary. I was obviously ill and exhausted but was obliged to wait, standing, for what felt like 15 minutes while Linda entered my information. Even though there was only one other patient in the waiting room at the time, I waited over an hour once seated. The nurse who finally took me back was pleasant but had no authority, so she asked me what seemed like intrusive and irrelevant questions about family history to kill more time waiting for test results. When I eventually got to see a nurse practitioner, who started in on the same questions, she told me there had been a lot of people ahead of me. I am grateful I got the treatment I needed and I will never go back.
Terrible experience did absolutely nothing but take vitals never will i go again! Couldn’t even stand up and ask her please can I have a chair so ridiculous. It was a terrible experience a waste !
Diagnosed me with a UTI still in pain even after the antibiotics. Had a kidney stone. Have 2 insurances they billed me $40 tried calling them 3 times left 3 messages nobody got back with me. Sent the bill back with insurance info and now they called with a recording to go on line for the message. WHAT???? Never again will I go there.
Terrible experience! Staff-wise, I have no complaints; it's the aftermath that was a nightmare. I had a referral from my insurance to go to this exact urgent care because they would cover the entire balance, even gave me a referral letter. I have been fighting for 6 months now to even get anyone from this place to answer me. I live out of state or I would just go there myself. Don't bother calling because their "billing department" doesn't answer the phone, and they do not return phone calls either, regardless of how many messages you leave.
They billed me and claimed my insurance denied it. My insurance, TriCare, who covers 100% of everything, was never even sent a claim by the urgent care. I sent RapidCare my referral letter, again, and the bill just disappeared with no response at all. A month and a half later it shows back up and is suddenly "past due". I sent more messages through the portal (that I could see were being opened by the staff), left more voicemails, and got absolutely no communication from anyone at all whatsoever.
Fast forwards several MONTHS, I discovered that 910 RapidCare was submitting the incorrect birthday to my insurance company. Instead of communicating with me and telling me what was wrong so I could help correct the issue, they chose to ignore countless messages and voicemails, causing stress and agitation on my part that easily could have been avoided.
Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. As a healthcare worker myself, it's even more frustrating to be ignored to this extent. If they can't be bothered to do their job then they shouldn't even be seeing patients.
One of the worse experience for me and my son! I have been in this urgent care several times but never met a dr like him (Dr Ellis). He was-examining my son with disgust because he was coughing with a mask on !!!! Wt a shame!!!!!! Nurse was amazing and front desk always nice but im not going there again because of him!
Haven’t met DR Ellis but the nurse practitioner at the urgent care is amazing. She has been very thorough with me during my check ups this week.
I got married on Sunday 09/13/2020 with about 30 people(all family) there. They all hugged and kissed me congrats. After Sunday I Started having congestion and chest pains on Monday, went Tuesday to urgent care in Austintown Due to it getting worse(I left work mind you)and received the worse care in the world. That MD was too busy talking to his nurses about his vacations and laughing for twenty minutes while I sat in the room and listened. He came in said that he couldn’t do anything for me but give me a z pack and a shot of steroids and I need a COVID test So he sent me to 910 rapid care to be tested.
When I explained my annoyance with the Care at the Austintown urgent care, she rechecked me and very nicely did a rapid covid test and a send out to be sure and sent me To Cleveland imaging for a chest X-ray because she did not like that fact that my chest was bothering me. So I went Wednesday and got everything done and went back for my recheck, the X-ray showed my lungs were clear but my breath sounds sounded different than Tuesday so she put me on a strong antibiotic, steroids, and an inhaler then wants me rechecked on 09/18. With my past health problems I really appreciate her worry and how nice all the staff were with me even when I had to wait a little while due to other patients being ahead of me. They are busy but you can tell they all live what they do there!
