Best WLM Reviews
1) first thing my family and I look for when coming to a restaurant is if it’s completely dead and slow or packed and busy. There were a lot of people dining so we decided to give them a try
2) second thing my family and I look for is the customer service. The service was good and the staff was so nice, made our visit memorable.
3) lastly, my family and I want to enjoy-cooked food. Everyone enjoyed their meals and my young toddler did end up eating a lot so that is a very good sign.
Overall Tofu 88 was really good and we will add it to our list of favorite Korean restaurants. We will be back
I visited this restaurant for the first time with a business friend. Due to the $9.99 sales promotion, the lunch crowd was substantial. Most people had to wait for 10-15 minutes. The increased traffic made it challenging to receive prompt service from the waitstaff. Unfortunately, my order didn't come out as expected. I asked for a mild dish, but it turned out to be spicy, and the color of the meal wasn't mild either, despite the waitstaff not acknowledging the mistake. They didn't check in at all, even though the side dishes were all gone.
One of our favorite Korean restaurants in Duluth! They have special $9.99 menu all week all day. Even great value of $9.99 menus are all very delicious and flavorful (comes with hot pressure pot rice!). Lunchtime is their busiest time, so I recommend to visit here slightly after lunchtime. All servers were kind and nice even they served delicious mandu(dumplings) for free due to we were two busy moms to eat and take care of our babies same time. Haha! Very thoughtful and thankful!! Anyway, check this place, you will enjoy!
Plus, if you have a baby, you can order the tofu soup on mild level like me on the picture. My baby loves to eat that!
Delicious black lamb hotpot that suffices for 3-4 people. Large amounts of meat and vegetables and very tasty soup. Very good rice cooked in small high-pressure pots. The soybean cold noodle was interesting, not my favorite but healthy and fresh. A lot of Koreans come here so you can tell it’s very authentic. The service is good and fast. The place is clean and modern decorated. Can get very crowded during meal times. We will definitely repeat!
This delightful restaurant operated by older generations of servers. These ladies are nice and polite despite their lack of English vocabulary, they made up with their service. The restaurant was clean and inviting. The price is reasonable. The food is higher quality than your usual tofu soup place. We love their jupchae, seafood pancake and the tofu soup. Their spiciest level is awesome. Come try them out, you will love it.
It was very good food! We enjoyed a lot and the server was very friendly. We went as a group and they brought out food fast and yet the quality of food was good. I highly recommend if you are looking for delicious traditional Korean restaurants with your family or friends, this is IT!!!
Really 4.5 stars.
I liked the 반찬. White 순두부찌개 was good. 순대국 was nice and spicy. They all went well together. 빈대떡 could've been a little better. It was nice and thick but lacking flavor.
Fantastic service. I would definitely come back again and try other dishes.
The soondooboo is standardly delicious like most Korean restaurants in town. The Leemyunsoo fish was pretty good. Their mandoo and banchan are both standard, but overall everything was good and I'd come back!
And I did, and tried their 9.99 lunch special. Friday is Yukgejang, and it's the best I've had in town. A truly authentic, home cooked (or Korea cooked) soup with a large portion and an amazing price. They have 9.99 specials every day, so you can pick your favorite days!
