Devon is worth every penny of the price, and is by far the best barber I've found in my 10+ years in West LA. I started going to him in May 2021 for a beard trim only and was immediately impressed with his skill and attention to detail, it's truly been unmatched by any other barber I've tried after I moved last year. I keep coming back to him for the quality of service.
He is a wizard with the clippers/scissors, a perfectionist with the straight razor, and a true professional. He's also excellent at listening to exactly what you want, and providing great recommendations when you need them.
I now get both my haircut and beard trim with him, and highly recommend you give him a try if you're on the fence.
You will not be disappointed.
Really don’t understand why this barbershop charges children $40 for haircuts. My son and I visited this barbershop for a taper haircut. They charged me $40! I was so disappointed by the cut and high price for a nine-year-old. Not impressed by the service given wished someone more skilled would have cut my son’s hair.

Devon is quite literally the best barber I’ve ever had in my entire life. He knows how to cut your hair to where it has a natural subtlety, but with a crisp, sharp style. I would recommend him to any as he is a top-tier barber. Given the opportunity, he may likely be a barber to celebrity personalities some day. He is just that good. Get in before the hype!
I have been going to Devon to get my hair cut for over two years, and I can honestly say that he is the best barber I’ve ever had.
His attention to detail and meticulousness are unmatched.
He explains the logic behind his methods when asked.
Even though he takes his craft seriously, he has a relaxed and casual air that makes you comfortable throughout the appointment.
On top of all this, his new shop is sick - a TV to watch sports, a fridge with free drinks for clients, and a slick aesthetic that reflects the style of his cuts.
I appreciate devon’s hard work and recommend him to anyone looking for a new barber in the area!
Highly recommend!!!!! Devon is a true artist when it comes to hair and beards. He is by far the most talented barber I've visited. His fades and beard work are beyond impressive. Unlike other barbers, Devon never rushes his appointments. He is a perfectionist and will take the time to make sure your hair and beard are exactly to your liking.
I found Devon a little over 2 years ago at a different studio, and I’ve stuck with him ever since. 88 & Above is his new studio, and it’s awesome!
First about Devon himself: he’s super chill, friendly and professional. The first time I went to him, I didn’t really know how to describe what haircut I wanted, so I left it mostly up to him, and the result was awesome. That’s how I’ve been getting it cut every time since.
About his new studio: It’s a perfect spot. His unit is a quiet, comfortable space with a big TV you can watch while you’re getting your cut - very relaxed vibes. He uses Squire to book appointments, it’s incredibly convenient. You can pick from his schedule and book/pay from your phone without having to talk to anyone.
I absolutely recommend Devon and his new studio 88 & Above to anyone looking for a new barber.
Been coming to Devon since I moved to LA in the Summer. He is a true professional.
Im very particular about how I want my hair to look. Finding a barber when you move to a new area is difficult to find someone you trust. I am glad to have found Devon.
When I moved, I tried a different barber who gave me a horrendous cut. Devon went out of his way to come in early and cut my hair before a wedding later that day.
