We’re from Las Vegas and just visiting yucca valley for easter, and was craving for some korean fried chicken!! THIS PLACE IS SOOOO GOOD! Their fried chicken is light and flavorful! You can tell they prepare it clean because it doesnt have leftover feather thing from chicken!! You guys should try it!! And they are all so welcoming there. The staffs are nice and friendly!! I love this place, i even tried their kimchi in the jar!!!! It’s like a taste of korea!! Thank you for making that kimchi soooo good!!
Last Friday was my first time trying this place out and it was not a disappointment. I’ll be returning when in the area. The 3 staff that I came across all have excellent customer service!
Ya Gin is the name of the employee that works the counter and brings out the dine in order. She was patient and attentive! And very informative, she elaborated on the ginger ???? honey ???? tea I ordered being available either hot or cold. I’ve always had it cold and prefer it cold. The tea is homemade and sold in a jar ???? to make your own at home! ❤️????
Sara cooks the food and came out to see what I thought of my order! ✨????
Lea was the counter staff when I returned the next day to purchase a jar ???? of the ginger ???? honey tea. I was unfamiliar with the jujube fruit and she made me a sample! I ended up buying both jars ????!!
Photos L-R: SIDES of cucumber ???? salad, kimchi and carrots ???? salad that came with the KIMCHI FRIED RICE, MENU for the name of next photo and the two jars ???? of tea.
I initially ordered take out and ended up dining in. Which Ya Gin was kind and helpful with my change.
The ambiance is welcoming with the friendly staff and all the beautiful plants ????
They’re so much yummy ???? options to choose from! There’s also premade kimchi, cucumber ???? salad and seaweed salad.
If you’re a local or a visitor support this friendly and delicious ???? restaurant. ❤️????
Thank you Ya Gin, Sara and Lea for your friendly and excellent customer service! ✨????
Must go!!
Food is fresh , healthy and delicious. I had the Kimchi fried rice.
The environment is clean. The staff is welcoming.
Very clean place, the ladies are so nice. Their spicy beef bugolgi is declicious. A good place to get coffee and drinks and chill and have some quiet time
4 years ago I had their Thai tea and Taiyaki both of which were to die for and I will never forget. I live across the country but may be visiting again soon and am glad to see they are still open. Hopefully I will be able to eat here again.
This is a surpisingly rare find in the high desert - 8 Star Cafe delivers authentic homestyle Korean food that's honestly on-par with some more expensive Korean restaurants I've been to in LA.
I appreciate the selection of choices on the menu; it caters to a range of palettes. From kimchi fried rice or dumplings, to Soon Dubu Jjigae, everything I've tried is absolutely delicious. Pictured are my favorites: the Spicy Pork Bulgogi and Japchae (glass noodles), which come with homemade sides (aka banchan) and rice.
Their homemade kimchi is also very very good - better than what you'd find in most Korean Markets. I usually buy a jar to take home.
I'll also point out that their boba and Taiyaki seem legit! I don't see many places that actually have a taiyaki press... excited to try it one day when I actually leave some room!
SO GOOD. A must try—and be warned, you will become a regular. The bulgogi is so good, along with everything else I’ve tried on the menu. Addictive, delicious food.
The only Korean restaurant in town. The chef is a cute Korean auntie so you can rest assure the food is authentic. It’s also funny that they also sell all sort of foods there. But don’t let that scare you. Just order all the Korean food and you are good to go. Food came out quickly and it was yummy. I would definitely come back
