I've been coming here for so many years and I've honestly never been let down. Quick, tasty food. Even though it feels like every other shop is dying and leaving the mall, 5th Avenue Deli has stayed strong. I remember in years gone by the owner/operator would stand behind the counter shouting "Cheeseburger, cheeseburger! Halibut, halibut!" My family still randomly says that to each other. Good memories.
Order a Philly cheese steak sub. Probably the driest sub I've ever had in my life no sauce and very little cheese. I forced myself to eat half because I was starving and broke but I will Never eating here again.
We stopped by and got some gyros and sandwiches. Everything was hot and fresh. The gentleman helping us was so excited and enthusiastic to help. It was a real treat to see how happy he was. That made the experience special.
I ordered the sausage egg and cheese croissant which I immediately disposed of after two bits. The eggs were fried in an excessive amount of oil and were not at all seasoned. Additionally, the sausage was burned and was nowhere near the proper portion size for this sandwich. I do not recommend.
I ordered the fried chicken and it was $20 for three pieces, fries, and a water. The fries were hard and the chicken tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Both tasted like it had been sitting for a while and when I ordered it they cooked it back in the old oil!!! Beware of this place!!!!
We ordered 2 kids popcorn chicken meals, a chicken burger, and an order of mozzarella sticks and we were charged $60 dollars. Talked to the guy about it and he was very rude and refused to give me a receipt. Highly disappointed.
Ordered a Philly cheese steak and it was made to order. The food was delicious! The fries were ok. Kinda on the pricey side, but I now feel the price matches the quality. Server was friendly too.
There is nothing special about their food at all. The fries have no flavor and honestly feel as though they came from a Costco freezer bag. The corn dogs are the same. The gyro is nothing but blah. The only way to choke it down is smothered with tzatziki sauce and even that isn't very authentic or good. Plus we had to go back 3 times to get all the sauces for the meal because they didn't provide it the first time with the order.
