Best WLM Reviews

We were in town for all things Amish and found this restaurant. As soon as you walk in, yummy smells smack you in the nose. I ordered a burger and fries and BLT with Mac n Cheese for my husband. He added the Southwest Ranch sauce to his sandwich. As you'll see from the video, both were HUGE! Loved my burger with its chopped up lettuce, onions, tomatoes. It was juicy and flavorful. Hubby said BLT was great and some of the best Mac n Cheese he had ever tasted.
Prepare to wait for your food. They even post a sign stating it on the door. We did order an appetizer that never made it to us. And I asked for tartar sauce that I never saw. The service was good and friendly but sparse. May have been the day. I would still go back in a heartbeat.
As a fellow Texan I knew we had to eat here. The food was absolutely amazing and great portion sizes. The service was a little slow but they have notes around the restaurant explaining why. All food is made to order when it’s ordered. There was also only two waitresses for the entire restaurant. Even with being super busy our waitress was very friendly and chatted with us. We even got to meet the owner and reminisce about good ol’ Fort Worth, Texas.
Food was hot and delicious the Onion Rings were HUGE and very delicious not greasy like a lot of places and the Drink mug was Gigantic, I did not need a refill. they have a small gameroom in the back of the restaurant. Plenty of seating and the servers were very nice and considerate. you have to stop in and check it out, a great little restaurant hidden at the end of the town. I had the BEST Ham and cheese melt I have ever tasted.
Real Texas atmosphere and Texas size food, which tasted great. Just a few healthy things, the rest tasted awesome, just don't think healthy. Most fried or deep fried. I got the 4 vegetable plate with corn bread. Overall a great place to try with a Texas flavor in horse cave KY area
We got the hart burger and a grilled cheese. The burger was very tasty. But it comes with "all the fixings" which are lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles, mustard and ketchup, so keep in mind what you actually want in the burger. Unfortunately we got the tots as the side, they were tasty but there was like 15 total. The grilled cheese is just an American cheese grilled cheese so nothing you can't make better at home.
If you're a fan of down home, southern, friendly service and good food to top it off, this is your new favorite place to be. It is a hidden gem for sure. The guy from Hidden River Caves suggested this spot. Great suggestion!
I don't know who the 5 broke girls that own this place are, but your waitress is any and everyone that's free. Everyone will stop by asking if you need anything or to refill your drink. There's no passing off the work because no one minds doing it. The decor is a mixture of Bible sayings or regular run-of-the-mill meme type stuff. Cute. Homey. Normal.
Now for the food ???? Gone and unbutton the pants before you order because you're headed in that direction. ???? The servings are huge. Everything is brick and mortar made so say what you want and you'll get it. My friend and I both were in the mood for a burger ???? We had no idea of what we were ordering. The fact that the burger was called Big Tex should've been a clue. It was a ginormous piece of burger heaven. Juicy, cooked just right, toppings as ordered, and cheese galore! ???? Perfection in every bite.
Smaller location of two, locally owned with lesser menu than Horse Cave. The brisket and pulled pork were really good. Tots and onion rings tasty and not too salty. Service was very good.
Party of 2. Seated and waited on fairly quickly. Food was good. Our server was good.
****the day we were here, the wait staff were bickering over tables. One eventually took off her apron and got her wallet like she was leaving, but didn't. This went on the whole time we were there.
Oh, I had chicken livers cooked to perfection. The other person had a burger. Pictures included with review.
