My husband and I stopped in not knowing the restaurant was there but smelling the food outside as we were walking by. We decided to go in and was greeted by a woman whom I believe may be the owner. She told us the menu items and we made our selections from there. I had fried turkey, he had fried chicken and the sides we picked were rice & beans and cabbage. The food was good although the portions could be more. There was a hefty portion of the rice and beans but not as heavy with the cabbage or meats. Neither of us had tried Haitian dishes before so didn't know what to expect. The woman was very pleasant and helpful with us being undecided on what to get. We would recommend the restaurant and would go back.
We love getting food from 426 Caribbean Cuisine. Lynn - the owner is easy to work with. We ordered several dishes for a catered party. Her skills were wonderful and I truly recommend getting food catered for your next party by this restaurant. We come here quite often and REALLY enjoy the taste and flavor of the food. It’s really ethnic Haitian cuisine! ????????????
Amazing food! Amazing service! Such nice people! Felt at home as soon as we came in. This is AUTHENTIC Haitian. The presentation, the flavors - excellent!! They even let us try some ox tail before we ordered. WOW.
First time here, if you get there and you don’t see nobody on the counter make sure you say “hello” so they know you are there. Food was delicious and good portions for price! Thank you!
I bought the griot and plantain. Griot was cold and the plantain was sweet. If you do not have green plantain, you should have let the customer know if the want sweet or green. The lady was friendly but food wasn’t good at all
The food was absolutely delicious and came in very generous portions. The customer service was phenomenal as well, and the lady who served me was incredibly sweet and polite. The restaurant itself is very clean and tidy, and the prices are great too. I left a well deserved tip and definitely am coming back.
Horrible food. They don’t give out sides. No meat, all bones. The food isn’t enough for price. Really doesn’t put any effort due to lack of competition in the area in my opinion. CHECK THE FOOD BEFORE PAYING!!!
426 has great food. I'm never disappointed. I was so happy when I found this place. I'm from Jersey and was missing good food. They have delicious food at 426. The owner is super nice always making sure things are just right. I recommend you try them out.
