These guys were truly amazing I got a flat tire on 57 by mile marker 220 they had a tow truck out to me brought my truck to their facility patched my tire and had me back on the road within an hour and a half could not ask for better service and their price was extremely reasonable! Great job guys!!
If anyone thinks $5,450.00 for an impound tow stuck in a field to their shop 8 miles away is good business please explain? I asked for the police to have another tow company come get it it and they called 3’cs. When I arrived the next day we discussed turning it into the insurance after the original bill was over that because he thought we were going to make a claim? Insurance fraud maybe? So the bill was lowered to $5,450.00. I have since asked around other towing companies if they thought the price was fair? You wouldn’t believe their responses! This company is taking FULL advantage of their customers on the towing, especially impounds. I understand they had to retrieve the vehicle out in a field but the car was functioning and drove off the lot the next day to a mechanic who said their was nothing wrong with it. If you look at the bigger picture that is $681.00 per mile for towing service, would have been more if it was turned in as an insurance claim. I have reached out to several people to see if they have had the same issue and I highly suggest if you have had any issues, contact the Illinois Attorney Generals consumer fraud dept. Also get tow bids from other companies to prove that Tuscola Pro is taking advantage of the people. Make your police departments and county aware as well. I hope people will speak out against this kind of business.
Dustin and his crew always do an amazing job. They go above and beyond every single time. They are honest and do great work! Highly recommend!
I dropped off a Polaris Ranger for full service and to diagnose why it was missing on one cylinder. I know they are an automotive shop, but they told me they work on ATVs, and they are a lot closer to me than the motorsports center. Every time I spoke with them, they were friendly and informative. Unfortunately, during the full month they were working on the Ranger, I had to repeatedly call them to get any updates and the charges kept piling up. I'll detail my experience below.
Week 0: I dropped off the ranger and the first thing they did was replace the spark plugs I had just replaced before dropping it off. That obviously didn't fix the issue. They called me and told me they needed to replace the ignition coil that would take a week to arrive.
Week 1: Changing the ignition coil did not fix the problem. I never received an update, so I finally call them. They tell me they want to change the injector harness and were just waiting on me to give the approval they never called for. It was going to take another week to arrive.
Week 2: A week passes and no update, so I call them. They replaced the injector harness, and the engine still isn't running correctly. They want to pull the top of the motor off to check the head, pistons and cylinders.
Week 3: No update, I call them. Everything looked within specifications in the motor, but they sent the head off to have it refinished because it showed some wear. This took another week.
Week 4: Put the engine back together and it still isn't running right so they change the oil and filter (the full service I had dropped it off for) and it starts running without a miss but now the engine makes a clicking/tapping noise it never made before. They run it for a time to break it in and change the oil again, it still clicks/taps. I pick it up and I'm told the only way they could try to fix the tapping is to rebuild the engine... which they don't do.
Update 10 months later: Without knowing what the clicking/tapping noise was, I refused to drive the UTV. I waited until spring to take it to a dealership, and they found it was missing a bolt and some parts were put together loosely. Reducing my 2-star review to a 1-star review.
TLDR: I paid $1000+ for an oil change and a new engine clicking noise that made the UTV not suitable for use. They should have told me up front they didn't know how to fix the issue and that they were just going to throw parts at it. The staff were friendly, but I had to call them for any updates. I don't have any experience with their automotive services, but I cannot recommend them for ATV service.
They towed my daughters car on Saturday from right outside the shop and when I called they told me the tow was going to be $100 and $50/day storage. Ok fine. She calls on Mon and they quote her $365. When we get there they quote me $565. So when I questioned him he said he could just take it down to $400. Bad business!!
They towed my truck in when it wouldn't start, diagnosed the problem, and told me the needed part was on backorder, and if I could get it quicker, they would install it. Found the part, took it in and set an appointment. Two hours after leaving the truck, they called to say they couldn't do this type of work. At this point I don't even know what to say other than can a place be less professional than this. I truly want to give them ZERO stars.
Always treat us well and professional, reasonably priced too. We love doing business with these guys!
They got me right in same day and had car fixed. They even let me keep the car there without a lot fee for a week. They were very polite and called after looking to tell me how much it would cost. I will go back here.
