This is the absolute best place to bring your car for any reason! They are so considerate and helpful any time I need them. I've used them for everything from my routine inspection and oil changes to more serious issues like brake work and emergencies. Wonderful people and top notch service that is beyond compare!
Please don’t bring your car here. First off the communication is horrible. I brought my car in with 1 issue I got the car back with 4 new issues. They don’t test drive the vehicle after they do work. They called to say it was all set and I paid over the phone. No communication that there were additional problems until I look at the receipt. When I called to tell them the car was in even worse shape then when I dropped it off they said they would call me back and never did. I ended up having to tow the car
to a different mechanic. I always have so much respect for mechanics and what they do but this experience really scarred me. Please go to willie’s or a different mechanic. I just don’t want anyone to go through what I went through. As you can see in a different review the company was sold to a different owner in the last year.
After moving up to VT I was very concerned about finding a new mechanic. I lucked out with 253-Auto being so close by and owned/operated by the kind of people you want to be friends with. They're honest, the pricing is very fair, they always give me a full write up of the work done (plus a full, clear explanation of any work that's recommended) and my car always come back clean inside (no dirty fingerprints everywhere). Highly recommend!
I always get great customer service at 253 Auto since I started going there. The staff are friendly and - critical during covid -fully vaccinated and wear masks around their customers. They've been wonderful to work with and I recommend them!
I was recently visiting Stowe, Vermont and saw my tire light come on. I stopped by 253 Auto Repair and Patrick and Bronwyn were very kind and helpful to me. It turns out that it was the spare tire (that is connected to the tire light on my Toyota Highlander) light that actually was the problem. Patrick took care of filling that tire and I was on my way! I highly recommend this company and appreciate their assisting me! Best wishes!
Was on a weekend ski trip and had some issues closing our hood latch on the way out of town. Stopped by 253 Auto and the friendly staff helped us so that we could safely get him! Great service thank you!
I can not recommend 253 Auto enough. I have had my 2004 Accord worked on at a few different shops around Stowe and I feel like I can trust 253 Auto the most.
I had high hopes for this family run shop, but unfortunately my confidence in them was misplaced. Here was my issue: the driver's side window became non-operable so I took it to them for diagnosis and repair. They said the harness (usual cost $60) needed to be replaced, however charged me for a motor and harness replacement at $400 plus. Ok - I let that slide. Meanwhile, when I got my car back the door speaker cover had been cracked and the door panel not reinstalled correctly. They denied responsibility for both issues. So much for accountability from 253 Auto. I am disappointed.
NOTE: the former mechanic and owner of 253 Auto, Clyde, sold the business to Patrick about a year ago.
