My boyfriend visited Victor over the weekend and were lucky enough to visit 1899 Mining Claim and Saloon on karaoke night! The food is delicious, the service is impeccable, and this bar is full of the most kind and welcoming people you’ll ever meet. The staff are friendly and the locals welcomed us with open arms and we all had a fabulous time! I live two hours away, but I’m definitely planning on coming back! If you like good burgers and a Cheers type atmosphere definitely check this place out!
Came up to stay with family went to cripple creek to eat
No one could seat us for 2-3 hours
We stayed In victor but wanted nice dining
We were asked to come in but still went to cripple creek with hopes of dinner we went to every restaurant just to get denied
We remembered the sweet lady asking us if we were hungry in victor!
We returned to victor at closing time
She greeted us with a smile and the cook fired up the grill and cooked up some of the best burgers on this side of the Mississippi! Posting a photo of my burger!!
Update: returned recently and spent a long weekend in Victor. Enjoyed the atmosphere and conversation with the locals, staff and international artists visiting. I adjusted my rating to five stars. This place is consistent, the food and drinks are great and priced right. I'll definitely visit every trip! :) had a blast!
Historic saloon located next to the Victor Hotel. Had a wonderful time on the patio taking in the views of Battle Mountain. Had the best bar burger I’ve maybe ever had. It was real beef and not a preformed frozen patty. The staff was mindful of my dietary needs and got my order correct. It’s a friendly place where the locals hang out. Nice small town neighborhood bar.
I was disappointed after reading the high reviews. We stopped in for a good warm burger but received a burger with cold soggy buns after almost an hour waiting. We were only the fourth table there and just four people at the bar. As the place was filled, the waitress was overwhelmed and was very attentive to her customers on refills and order either.

Staff is very friendly.
We had the green chili burger, bacon burger, fries and onion rings. Patties were seared nicely and had lots of flavor.
The onion rings are delicious, but a little skimpy on the serving sine it’s a $3 up charge from the fries which have a very good seasoning.
The green chilis are slightly spicy for one of us and just right for the other.
All in all, I would gladly eat here when I want a great burger.
Victor isn’t a big place but these Onion Rings and Jalapeño Poppers were simply amazing.. yummy like Gold. 1899 mining claim and saloon has a lovely and cool bar feeling, very friendly service and people are coming in. Good prices too. I recommend this place and will also come back for a visit!
If you’re in Victor, and you’re hungry for a good burger and some chicken tenders, this is the place to go!
The Bacon Blue Burger is the best burger I've ever had in my life!!! Service is great and has all the fixings of a small town bar. Must see while in Victor
