Best WLM Reviews
Been wanting to try 1800 for a while and my wife and I stopped in for dinner. The restaurant is clean and well maintained and the service was fast and friendly. The food was fresh and very well prepared. My wife and i agreed it was the best Mexican we have had in the Brunswick / Golden Isles area and look forward to returning to our new GO TO SPOT for Mexican food. Highly reccomend 1800 Mexican Restaurant.
Second time trying, and I'm not completely sold, but the fact we are still willing to give it another try is a plus. Their drinks were on point, and the service was great. I'm not sure if we just ordered the wrong thing, but it was just not appeasing the taste buds. Will definitely try again because it wasn't a bad experience at all.
Celebrated my birthday by eating dinner with family and friends. Our waitress was pregnant and very nice. Knowledgeable about the menu, gave input about the food, and drinks. Overall I was very pleased. Only thing, they didn't sing happy birthday and brought the hat over like they did the others. But my friend Rochella sang it for me, it was beautiful. We asked for the hat and I took pictures with it. I would recommend this place to eat for sure. 1800 Special with steak and shrimp was my choice. Of course a strawberry margarita to toast with. Will definitely come again.
Stopped by 1800 Mexican on a week night for dinner. Service and decor was great. The queso was tasty but could've been thicker and spicier. I ordered the steak which was salty. The bacon strips on top was too much. The food was okay overall.
We had just arrived into town and wanted some good Mexican food. We found the closest place to us that wasn’t Tex-mex and stumbled upon this gem! The service was great, the passion fruit margarita was tasty (and strong let’s be honest), and the food was incredible as well. It really hit the spot, and I would go back!
**pictured is a frozen passion fruit margarita and tacos al pastor with the toppings on the side.
Service was great really nice people who checked on us just the right amount. Huge portions of delicious food. My family is vegetarian and we enjoyed the vegetable fajitas - pepper, onion, mushroom, spinach, broccoli - We ordered two and honestly could have shared one, maybe with an extra side of rice. Speaking of, the rice was delicious! Food was fresh and warm. Beverages from water to margaritas come in huge cups! You will not go hungry or thirsty here.
I can’t say enough about this restaurant. I ate the meat alone. Time my butt hit the seat seems like my fod was out that’s how fast the service was. The fast was the best I had in long time. I travel for work hard to find good food. If you see 1800 restaurant stop here.
We ate here because it was right off the highway and we’re in the mood for Mexican.
Chips and salsa is free and someone came to our table almost immediately to serve them!
The food was VERY good - my husband ordered the “Downtown Americus” and I ordered “Tacos Al Pastor”. Both dishes were great - the burrito was big with lots of flavor and they were very generous with the taco meat (flavor of the tacos was some of the best I’ve had).
Our waitress was Ashley and she did not miss a beat - she was so attentive and anticipated things we needed. All around great experience.
note: ambiance could be worked on/ spruced up but that didn’t hinder our experience here.
