Don’t let the outside deter you. This was the best breakfast I’ve had in a good bit!! We were greeted as soon as we stepped through the door. The menu is full of amazing options. Friendly. Fast. A+ quality.

My wife and I are staying in Gainesville for a family wedding and we decided to try the 16th Ave Diner because we saw many great reviews online and boy were they right. The food was AMAZING!! The OJ was tasty and the coffee was fresh. The place was packed but we were able to get seating at the bar. Everyone who served us was awesome!! The food was absolutely incredible!! The eggs, pancakes, and hash browns were absolutely delicious!!! Service was quick!! TY, 16th Ave Diner!!!
We enjoyed a tasty breakfast. Ordered eggs, bacon, home fries, and biscuit. Also ordered biscuits and gravy. Everything was perfectly cooked. Servers were friendly and food came out quickly. Would eat there again.
New owners, Very friendly atmosphere, great prices, food delicious. Best biscuits in town. Got the two pork chops, grits, eggs scrambled hard. Can't go wrong.

We went with friends who love this place and now we love it too. We enjoyed great diner food and service so friendly it made me want to leave a review. Breakfast burrito with chicken and home fries hit the spot.
If I could select more than 5 stars for each of these categories, I would. Such a legit spot. I left feeling satiated hunger and rejuvenated levels of serotonin. The exact vibe I didn’t know I was craving on this Saturday morning.
It startles you a little. The pay counter perched at the glass front door like a eager pet, the smiles and waves of the staff passed casually like they’ve known you were coming, the benches and tables squashed in two rows like pews in a church. Cramped as it is, crowded as it is, it feel like you’re a part of a family. The portions too, are family sized. I got the 2-2 combo and coffee. It came promptly enough on two huge plates of french toast, hash browns, scrambled eggs, and bacon cooked to loving perfection. All for under $15! Of all the Gainesville diners I’ve visited, this one has the best bones. No pretend or fussy aloofness. Nothing but what they say they offer—an American roadside diner :) Thank y’all for a great experience.
