Best WLM Reviews
Since my favorite Hunan restaurant closed (Hunan Maojia), I've been looking for good Hunan cuisine. A friend if mine brought me here for special meal with off menu dishes. Terrific flavors and spiciness that doesn't overwhelm the other subtle flavors.
Their food is acceptable, though not outstanding, and tends to be overly salty. Initially, I didn't want to leave this review right after my meal. However, I was put off by their request for a minimum 10% tip, a practice which I believe to be inappropriate, given that tipping should be discretionary. The service left much to be desired—there were no water refills, nor did anyone check to see if everything was satisfactory. Given this level of service, I'm puzzled as to why a 10% tip would be suggested as the minimum.
This is a restaurant with Chinese characteristics. There is a milk tea shop in the shop, which is rather strange. The taste is spicy from Hunan, China, and it's not bad. The rice is not particularly fresh, the lobby is a bit messy, and the service attitude is average, not too satisfied.
Authentic human cuisine. Enough said. Parking in the back
This place is a joke. Went in, and people are shouting how many from across the room full of diners. Once seated, no menus. I had to ask and was presented with 2 menus. Both menus were all in Chinese characters. I question him about it and asked how am I supposed to order if I can not read it?. He just shrugged his shoulders and said this is all they have and that this was only a soft opening. He did not even offer to help like it is not his problem. Typical China attitude that makes us all look bad. I am pretty sure it is not legal to have a non readable menu here. We just left . I am left wondering how Google and their online ordering have a legible menu, but the onsite restaurant does not??? I do not know why they attempt to do business here when service is just or more than important than the food.
That’s the worst chinese restaurant I’ve ever seen before. There’s no formal menu and pictures on it. Only the hand writing on the sealed plastic paper. The restaurant had horrible service and an unpleasant atmosphere. And also the food prepared was very slow.
Extremely slow. Ordered to-go, waiting for MORE THAN ONE HOUR just for THREE dishes. And while I was waiting in the restaurant, the people entered the restaurant and sat down 30 mins later has a full table of dishes. Extreme unorganized and unprofessional. Don’t order here unless you want to do it an hour or two earlier. Just terrible
The Dong An Chicken is the best in LA. And other dishes are very tasty as well.
I have ordered takeouts and dine in for at least five times
